A Great Love Story

He stepped inside his home, so he overwhelmed with fear
An angel came with words from God, things were still unclear
Saying read - read, but he couldn't read, amazing words he heard
A trembling deep inside his heart, confused by what had occurred

There was only one who could comfort him
And help him see the light
To ease his fears, to reassure
Was khadijah, his wife

Chorus
He said Zamilooni, Zamilooni, Dathirooni, Dathirooni, (Envelop me, Embrace me)
A mighty task has come before me
I need you here with me
By my side

She was a woman of nobility, successful in all her trade
Many wealthy men had asked for her, she turned them all away
But when she saw Muhammad, a shining moon, may peace be on his soul
He was a light for her" so right for her" her life will now be whole

But she had never seen him so distressed, as he was there that day
She would comfort him, and hold him tight, and chase his doubts away

Chorus

Bridge
We look for stories of love, in places dark and cold
When we have a guiding light, for the whole world to behold
But were so selfish in our ways, and to the ones we hold so close
Our own pleasure and happiness is what we value most

But she sacrificed all her wealth and everything she had
And he honored her, and gave her faith,
when the times were bad, when times were bad...

Now years have passed, times had changed, since khadijah breathed her last.
And the Message of the one true God, was spreading far and vast
But then he came across a jewellery, that khajidah once had worn
His eyes began to swell with tears, his heart again began to mourn

Cause she was there for him, when the times were rough, and his enemies were cruel
She was the first believer, so keen and eager, to comfort ar-Rasool

Chorus

Mawlaya salli wa sallim da'iman abada
'Ala habibika khayril khalqi kullihimi...Rasullullah
(O my Leader, send your salutations and blessings forever
Upon Your Beloved, the best of the whole of creation)

I wish to be like Khadijah..I really wish to be like her.. InsyaAllah

Where my heart is at ease

There was merriment and joy,
a smile on the face of every girl and boy.
The streets of Yathrib welcomed in
the Prophet of Allah, Muhammad,
Sallallahu `alaihi was salam.

A full, white moon,
shone down upon the land,
rising from the valley between hills of sand.
Being greatful to Allah was the Prophet's demand,
spreading peace through the streets of Madinah.

Madinah tun-Nabi, Madinah tun-Nabi
The city of the Prophet is like home to me.
I'll travel through the world but I doubt that I will see,
a city with such wonder as Madinah.

Now the narrow winding roads,
are so full of history;
Streets shake with the Azan from Masjid-Un-Nabi.
I feel the shadow of the Prophet gently cooling me
as I walk through the streets of Madinah.

Madinah tun-Nabi, Madinah tun-Nabi
The city of the Prophet is like home to me.
I'll travel through the world but I doubt that I will see,
a city with such wonder as Madinah.

The man who reads Qur'an `neath a date palm tree,
and a smile from the child on the street selling tea,
enchant me with their beauty and their simplicity
as I walk through the streets of Madinah.

Al-Madinahtul-Munawarah
Oh, Enlightened City!
Al-Madinahtul-Munawarah
Even in my sleep you call to me.

Time, has hurried by, time has traveled on so fast,
and though wisdom and truth will always last,
I wish, I wish, I wish that I could climb into the past
and live with the Prophet in Madinah.

Madinah tun-Nabi, Madinah tun-Nabi
The city of the Prophet is like home to me.
I'll travel through the world but I doubt that I will see,
a city with such wonder as Madinah.

My heart is never far from the home of the Ansar,
and the city of The Prophet, Al Medinah.

Allahumma sholli 'ala Muhammad, wa 'ala aali Muhammad

Suara Cinta

Saya mencapai al-Quran di atas meja selesai solat Maghrib lalu membacanya perlahan-lahan sementara menunggu dua orang pelajar saya bersiap-siap. Sedang saya membaca al-Quran, tiba-tiba Sarah cucu mama datang mendekati sambil meletakkan tangan kecilnya di atas ribaan saya. Comel sungguh!

“Sarah nak baca jugak ke?” saya menundukkan kepala dan bertanya perlahan.

Ngee..Sarah cuma tersengih memandang

“Ikut kak long baca eh” Saya membaca surah al-Fatihah dan membiarkan Sarah mengikut bacaan dengan gayanya sendiri. Gaya pelat si anak kecil berumur dua tahun setengah. Saya kemudiannya membaca alif ba ta.

“Alif,ba , ta, tha..”

“Jim!” Sarah menyambung. Ketawa kami mendengarnya.

Petang esoknya setelah saya pulang dari program bersama keluarga-keluarga angkat yang lain,Sarah tiba-tiba keluar dari bilik tidur kami dan membawa al-Quran saya bersamanya.

“Ace, ace!” Sarah menjerit kecil.

“Apa dia Sarah..” saya bertanya

“Ace, ace!” Sarah menjerit lagi sambil menghulurkan al-Quran kepada saya.

“Owh…baca…Sarah nak kak long baca?”

Saya mendudukkan Sarah di sebelah, membaca al-Quran larut dalam linangan air mata. Kepala Sarah saya gosok perlahan-lahan.

Ini fitrah hambaMu ya Allah. Mencintai-Mu dan suara cinta-Mu.

“Tiadalah dilahirkan seorang anak melainkan dalam keadaan fitrah, maka kedua ibu bapanya lah yang menjadikannya Yahudi, Nasrani atau Majusi” {Riwayat al-Bukhari dan Muslim}

Sarah masih suci, Sarah masih suci…
